01 SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATOR | PART-TIME

 

REMI C.T. Studio is currently seeking a driven, highly-organised and proactive Sustainability Coordinator to join the team on a part-time basis by the end of 2022. The incumbent will review our Architectural design team to ensure our Studio is challenged in the conversation for sustainability. The Studio’s projects cover various sectors including Residential, Commercial, Cultural, and Mixed-Use, so any relevant experience with sustainability within the built environment is welcome. 

 

The ideal candidate will begin by working only 1-2 times per month to do reviews of projects. Over a trial period, this role has the potential to expand.

 

Please only apply if you are based in/around London and have easy access to Stratford, London and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

 

  • To lead the conversation of the coordination of sustainability issues for the design team

 

  • To work with the Studio to help develop integrated building designs with low carbon, ecological footprint and Sustainable Development Goals principles

 

  • To develop, evaluate and advise on sustainable design and urbanism, construction and operation of the project

 

  • To support the production of visual outputs and reports to advocate, explore and explain sustainable ideas on a project

 

  • To conduct reviews and research into existing and new sustainable materials, techniques and procurement and integrate the results into our projects

 

  • The ideal Sustainability Coordinator would also be innovative with their goals for sustainability and setting a new, inspirational precedent for the Studio’s aims and architecture practices.

 

  • Help Studio drive and push their sustainability manifesto 

 

  • Setting up workshops with the team about sustainability issues in our projects


 

Qualifications:

 

  • Experienced in project design

 

  • Experienced of Whole Life Impact and Lifecycle analysis to projects Supporting the development, methods and tools for rapid first conceptual evaluation and visualisation of projects

 

  • Understanding of BIM and using it to quantify projects and assist in complex integration of systems

 

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information in a non-technical manner

 

  • Being inventive, resourceful, proactive and enthusiastic about sustainable research and design

02 ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN/ TECHNOLOGIST | PART-TIME
 

REMI.C.T Studio is currently seeking a driven, highly-organised experienced Architectural Technicians/Technologists to join the studio on a part-time basis and will work alongside our team of Designers under the line management of a Director weekly. The main responsibility for this role will be to consult and aid in the design development of the tender of project detail/construction design. The Studio’s projects cover various sectors including Residential, Commercial, Cultural, and Mixed-Use, so any relevant experience within these sectors is welcome.
 

Due to the increasing workload of projects being taken on from London and internationally, the Studio is looking for an enthusiastic candidate who is passionate about design and innovation. Please, only apply if you are based in/around London and have easy access to Stratford, London and must be eligible to work in the UK.
 

All applicants will be considered, but the position may suit individuals looking to continue their architectural involvement or to fit in around an existing job, as this position will be one to two days a week.
 

​Architectural Technician/ Technologist Responsibilities:
 

The successful candidate will be confident and experienced in delivering projects from RIBA Stage 3 onwards with strong technical knowledge, expert knowledge of statutory requirements and strong communication skills. Understanding and interest of sustainable technologies.
 

The Person:
 

  • Highly organised and motivated and be experienced in structuring your own workload and deliverables to achieve the requirements of the project and its programme.

  • A passion for the subject of architecture and design

  • Extensive experience of detailed design and architectural rules, legislation and construction.

  • Works with a high level of accuracy

  • Strong eye for technical design

  • Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team

  • Have good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Clear thinking, organisation and time management skillset, with a genuine passion, flair, and creativity

  • Enjoys the innovation within designing details

  • Extensive work experience within the UK


Skills, Qualifications and experience:
 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • 3-4 years of stage 4 Tender Drafting

  • Skilled use of AutoCad

  • Strong Knowledge of UK building regulations
