KENGO KUMA AND HIS MATERIALS OF THE FUTURE

Japanese Architect Kengo Kuma installed his Bamboo Ring at the V&A this year at the London Design Festival. The ring demonstrates how bamboo and carbon fibre can be woven to create a strong self-supporting structure, which could be used for earthquake-proof architecture. Could this combination become the material of the future?
