The Home Office Rebound

The home office existed traditionally as a separate room, with a door to close from distractions. By the end of the 80’s, laptops were seemingly becoming popular among business-people. Laptops, tablets, and smartphones, as we know them today, are reinventing the “home office,” with over 67% of the UK owning a laptop, the home office can now be at a café, the kitchen table, a sofa, even gardens or parks.
However, during the global lock-down due to COVID-19, we’re now seeing people are missing the confines of the traditional home office. It is interesting as a design studio to see over time the constant rebounding between the traditional and the new age.
